Wow, I love this song (actually, I love practically every song they sing haha…), but I never really listened to it until tonight. I’ve gone through something very similar, and now I wish I could have played this for my ex-boyfriend during the last couple weeks before we broke up. To this day, even though we’re still good friends, he’s still never told me exactly why everything ended up the way it did. Yeah, he beat around the bush a lot, and made excuses (“It’s not me, it’s you,” lame lines like that), and that’s what hurt me the most. If he’d have told me exactly what was up, things might have turned out better for the both of us.
This song’s message is wonderful. No matter what the truth is, honestly is ALWAYS the best policy.

It is good to hear that God is waking people up, even if it’s just one at a time. He performed a work in my heart with the song you are talking about. Additionally, track 3, “The Voice of Truth” is the one that really spoke to me. Getting out of your boat….that is such a hard thing to do, but that is what the Lord has lain on my heart for the last year. That is the reason for The Powerhouse Youth Center….I finally allowed me to get my eyes off of me and on Him. Certainly, it is a spooky place to be on occasion, but then again the rewards are unfathomable (beyond measure of depth). Thank you for sharing…..I will be back

I haven’t actually heard “My Jesus”, but I did read the lyrics recently and it’s on my list of songs I need to “check out” in depth. Unfortunately that list is rather long and my budget is rather small .

I really enjoyed reading your comments on Casting Crowns’”What if His People Prayed?” I will tell my husband to check out this blog because that song and others on that CD have really connected with his heart since last year.
I wonder if you have heard Todd Agnew’s “My Jesus”, this one really puts its finger on the nose of “proper church-goers”. It paints a picture that you can almost visualize.
